Financial Modelling Analyst

Role and Responsibilities:

His/her primary task is to deliver the financial modelling of infrastructure projects (renewables, water, waste management, transport, telecommunications, among others). The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of successfully closing transactions in these areas, typically as a banker or as a developer, and ideally with both debt and equity experience. 

More specifically, duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Capable of building sophisticated infrastructure financial models from scratch. Undertake and manage the necessary due diligence, financial modelling, risk analysis, and mitigation in the structuring of loans, equity investments, guarantees, or bonds;
  • Assist in securing the appropriate legal documentation for all deals; 
  • Review and update financial models for existing projects; 
  • Ability to perform market, customer and industry research and analysis;
  • Support the Granito & Capital team in the design and implementation of new products;
  • Source new business through research and maintaining accurate contact records and the CRM database;
  • Presenting at meetings with current and potential clients;
  • Support the Sales team in the fundraising of capital to Granito & Capital projects;
  • Comply with Granito Group’s Code of Conduct.

 

Profile:

  • Expertise in financial modelling, preferably acquired in a leading consulting or M&A firm, accounting firm or investment bank, with exposure to renewable energy. A wizard in excel;
  • Highly analytical, organized, and logical professional with attention to detail. Fast learner with strong quantitative abilities; 
  • Knowledge and experience in corporate finance, investment banking, structured financial products and projects;
  • Keen interest in renewable energy and investment;
  • Academic background in accounting, finance or economics; 
  • Preference for a qualified accountant, MBA or CFA charterholder;
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
  • Perfect written and verbal communication skills (native or extremely fluent English);
  • Ethos - wanting to make a difference compatible with Granito Group values and principles.

Terms of Appointment:

  • This appointment will be on a project basis. It may be followed by full-time employment; 
  • Start date ASAP; 
  • Based in London, United Kingdom;
  • Reporting to the COO of Granito & Capital.
